The sums offered in M&A talks most recently within the sector put the value of some gambling companies above that of many mainstream brands. Yet, apart from few, most of the gambling sector lags in its investment in reputation, public perception, collection of evidence, CSR and ESG, critical for the industry to protect itself from regulatory pressures and to improve its attractiveness in front of the broader spectrum of investors. Not to mention the consumers.
