Moore took on the temporary roles in September last year after Jim Lightbody began medical leave to undergo cancer treatment and recovery.

Moore will step down on 15 January in order to pursue a new opportunity in the private sector.

The BCLC said that its board will now seek to appoint a new interim president and chief executive while Lightbody continues his medical leave.

“On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Greg for the incredible contribution he has made to help redefine BCLC’s approach to business and corporate culture,” BCLC board chair Peter Kappel said.

The announcement comes after the BCLC in September revealed that measures implemented during the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic led to a decline in revenue for its 2019-20 fiscal year.
