There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony in the Mohegan Sun Casino’s Bow & Arrow Sports Bar at 09:30AM EST.

The sports bar will feature what Mohegan describes as “one of the largest TV walls in the Northeast”, four live betting windows and 50 self-service kiosks. IGaming and online betting offerings will follow, with Mohegan Sun listing each as coming “this Fall” on its website.

The sports betting offering will be powered by Flutter Entertainment’s FanDuel, through an agreement struck in July this year. That agreement covers retail and online sports betting, as well as an online casino product under the Mohegan Sun brand.

It was facilitated by Mohegan Sun amending its previous agreement with Kambi, which saw the tribal-owned operator agree to pay the sportsbook technology provider the revenue stipulated in its initial agreement.

The roll-out of sports betting and igaming was a key goal of Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, and saw the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot Tribes agree new compacts with the state. Legislation ratifying each passed the Connecticut legislature in May.
