Bit8 picks up Romanian licence

Gaming platform software provider Bit8 has become the latest brand to secure a licence in Romania.

The class two B2B licence will enable Bit8 to offer its multi-channel platform to land-based and online operators in the country.

Bit8 already has a strong presence in Romania through an existing partnership with Super Bet, the country’s largest retail and online bookmaker.

Angelo Dalli, chief executive of Bit8, said: “Romania is an exciting market, and we are thrilled to have received our licence from the regulator.

“It’s testament to the quality of our platform that it passed so quickly; it has always been scalable and designed to be multi-jurisdictional.

“We are particularly proud of its multi-channel functionality, helping cross-sell retail players into online as shown through our partnership with Super Bet.

“This, combined with our licence, gives us a springboard to work with other operators in the country.”
