With ESG being a key subject within the gambling industry in recent years, the role of external consultancies in the field has grown.

Steven Myers, managing director of Praxis Consulting and Advisory, says that in this role, he has seen that sustainability has clearly become “more and more important” for operators recently.

While he acknowledges that gambling companies might only attract certain kinds of investor, he says this does not mean operators can afford to treat the topic lightly, particularly due to the importance of perception in the industry.
