Loto-Québec reopens Salon de jeux in new location
Canadian provincial lottery Loto-Québec has opened its new, relocated Salon de jeux gaming hall in the borough of Beauport, replacing a similar facility in Vanier.

The new Québec City property is located in the Mega Center Beauport shopping and entertainment complex, moving there after the venue’s previous location, in Vanier, was closed in mid-November.
The new 1,335 square metre Salon de jeux hosts 335 electronic gaming terminals, as well as a bar and restaurant, and location for Loto-Québec players to collect their lottery winners.
“Our new establishment at the Méga Center Beauport offers a friendly and safe environment,” Pierre Maltais, general manager for Salon de jeux and Casino de Charlevoix said.
"We are happy to welcome our customers and to offer a place of entertainment that is unique in the region.”
It comes after Loto-Québec’s results for the first quarter of its financial year revealed revenue from land-based gaming amounted to just CAD$5.1m (£3.0m/€3.5m/$4.0m) for the three months to 30 June. The brick-and-mortar properties were shuttered for much of the period, due to Covid-19 restrictions.
This was more than offset by growth in lottery and igaming, with group revenue more than doubling to CAD$401.3m for the quarter.
